My Glogster Project

In this project, I worked with my friend Aslı. We prepared an online poster. It was about the novel "1984" written by George Orwell. At first we watched a video and read the summary of the book from Sparknotes. Then we collected pictures and slogans for our poster.

My Interview Project

In this project, I listened to an interview broadcasted on 21 December 2010. The interviewer is John Wilson and the interviewee is Anne Hathaway, Oscar-nominated actress. The interview focuses on her last film "Love and Other Drugs".

Click here to listen to the interview

Anne Hathaway, American actress, played in lots of films. Some of them are The Princess Diaries, Becoming Jane as Jane Austen, Alice in Wonderland. In 2008 she won the awards for her lead role in Rachel Getting Married and her last film is Love and Other Drugs. Jake Gyllenhaal and Anne Hathaway played together. In the film, Jamie (Jake Gyllenhaal) selling Viagra and Maggie (Anne Hathaway) suffering from Parkinson’s disease have physical relationship and then the relation turns into love. During the interview John Wilson asks questions and Anne Hathaway answers them, explains her feelings.
At the beginning, Anne Hathaway talks about Maggie’s disease. She says that Maggie has no money no love no saving. She suffers from early onset Parkinson’s disease. She is worried about her future. She is reluctant to love someone. Then she tells her process playing a woman with Parkinson’s disease. She says that she talked a lot of women with Parkinson’s disease, read books and spoke neurologists about Parkinson’s disease. And she explains how she chooses roles. She says that she is looking good complex characters and just trying to go with the best actor, actress and best director are. She mentions Love and Other Drugs. She says that while she decided her role as Maggie she saw that Maggie was good complex character because she has Parkinson’s disease and she is alcoholic and she is trying to adjust having a disease. She is worried about her future. After that, she mentions her other films and roles. Then she says that she is satisfied with her roles. All of them are so good. She hasn’t regretted her any roles so far.
If I were the interviewer, I would like to ask her:
Is there any real person with Parkinson’s disease in the film and if so, how did you feel?
What do you think about playing with Jake Gyllenhaal?

My Webquest Project

In this project, I worked with one of my friends, Aslı. We created a fable. There are 3 characters in the fable. I hope you enjoy the fable as much as we have enjoyed while preparing.

A CAT AND A MOUSE
Once upon a time there were two good friends: the cat and the mouse. They were living together in a    house. They were playing games, singing songs. They were happy and enjoying much. But then, the landlord decided to have a dog. He built a beautiful hut in the house’s garden. This made the cat and the mouse envied.
One day, the cat and the mouse, unpleased about the dog, decided to make a plan which would make the dog angry. After they thought over, they came up with an idea. According to their plan, they decided to steal the dog’s meal. Because they thought that this would make the dog angry. And they took into action. The moment they stole the dog’s meal, they were caught by the dog. The dog said “What are you doing in my hut?” He looked around and shouted: “Are you stealing my meal?” In order to protect himself from the dog, the cat laid the blame on the mouse and he said “I have just come and I did not do anything. I don’t know what is going on here.”
This behavior of the cat made the mouse shocked. However, he didn’t tell on the dog and kept his silence. The mouse just said “Please forgive me! I made a mistake I am full of regret, I am so sorry.”  When the mouse apologized, this time the cat kept his silence. After a couple of second, the dog said “Okay, I forgive you. I forget everything happened here.” The cat said “Thank you very much.  I promise I don’t do it again.” The dog said “I hope” and he went away. Still the cat didn’t tell anything and went away. As a result of this event, the mouse understood how insincere the cat was and he never forgave the cat.

The moral: Misfortune tests the sincerity of friends.

Tidy

The word that desribes me best is absolutely "tidy". Because i never stay in a messy place. If somewhere is messy, loose or dirty,  i can not sleep or study. I can not do anything. This is awful for me. I think all people must be tidy so life is better and easier for us.

My digital storytelling project

In this project, Aslı, my friend, and me created a young learners story with drawing and audio. we tried to teach jobs to young learners. So, we developed 11 charecters and wrote a dialogue. In this video, there are a lot of grammar mistake but we thought that young learners did the project. I mean, young learners vocalized the characters. I hope you enjoy the video as much as we have enjoyed while preparing.

My podcast

This is a myth project. Emine, my friend, and me wrote a dialogue between Daedalus and Icarus. We created a podcast. I recorded my sound for Daedalus and Emine recorded her sound for Icarus. I hope you enjoy the podcast.

My repurposing idea

If  you try to find somewhere for your earrings, the only thing needed is a grater.
I took a grater and painted it and then i put my earrings on the grater.
